A punter mentioned it might be useful to get pally with your local authorities licensing depsrtment.
They will be able to advise on new licensee applications. Hope that helps someone

Also, i'm not sure if all Councils do it, but one of the Local Councils I work with allow you to search on-line for personal and premises licensing applications that are being dealt with.
