How was business in 2012 for you?

Post by Vendition Ltd »

So how was it?

Personally it was a big year for me, I bought out two existing operators, one was a good buy, the other not so good but have learnt a lot from it.

Average sales have dropped, there is no doubt about that but I have tackled this by simply expanding and having more sites. There were less closures in 2012 than previous years which is promising but 2013 could be a challenging year.

2013 is going to be tough especially with further cuts and tax rises from Government and the fact we are starting it without our best selling product (Minstrels) is not a great start

My plan for 2013 is to milk the business to the max, putting as much money as possible in the bank to help pay for all the expansion and maybe look at other opportunities in 2014 when i have a bit of cash

Cheers

Having started in June 2011, 2012 has been a great year for me. I have expanded considerably and have more sites than ever. I have diversified my fleet to include rides and coffee machines, and removed some machines from poor performing sites to consolidate my business. i have learnt so much in this last 12 months and see 2013 as a settle down and see a return on my investment year! To date all money has been reinvested (and some) but looking good for the future.

Sales are down slightly on existing sites but I just visit less. i stopped Minstrels in October with the price rise and have not seen a massive effect other than other lines sell better!

I would like to invest in a vehicle this year if anything and make my garage more storage friendly! Oh and keep my full time job going which I blooming hate but it pays the bills!
