Ade, If you are not covered and have a claim today, that would be catastrophic.Ade wrote:just had an email saying sorry for delay in replying to my email!!! ive emailed back saying i want an answer by today if i am covered or not? simple question really. will be emailing ombudsman tonight if no reply as it stinks that they cannot answer a simple question.

Re: Beware- Your Simply Business PLI may not cover you.
Good morning to everybody on the Forum.
Just a small post to say that I hope everyone had a good weekend. I appreciate a lot of us may well have been working, although I hope it was enjoyable non the same. I also wanted to say we are very focused this week in getting our advert placed on this forum to make our Public Liability Insurance more noticeable and available. www.insuremyliability.co.uk / www.ceta.co.uk
Again we must say a big thank you to the forum moderators ans Matthew in particular.
In the meantime please continue to email myself personally at noel.woodrow@ceta.co.uk with a contact telephone number should you wish a quote or further information regarding your liability Insurance. Alternatively please leave me a private message via the forum.
Best regards
Noel

Hi All
Just to make sure everyone is aware , i had a quote from ceta and was told it does not cover the four kids rides i have, these have to be insured with another provider separately. If anyone knows of an insurer who will cover everything in one policy please let me know.
ps. simply bussiness are returning my premiums for the last year and conducting an investigation and will inform me of the outcome.
Cheers
Pete

Yes, I noticed that exclusion on my policy with Ceta. Perhaps someone on here like Gavin, will know a suitable insurer for rides. Another option, I would try, is to call an amusement arcade, or seaside arcade and see who they insure with.
Ceta will not cover the charity boxes either . I assumed that these had little potential to cause a claim, but apparrently they can be thrown, or the sweets bags could get caught in a childs throat. I would be interested to know if anyone doing these has insurance and if so, which company.
Thanks,
Paul

Re: Beware- Your Simply Business PLI may not cover you.
I have just spoken to Simply. My complaint was sent by e-mail on 9th Feb and the refund agreed on 13.02.13, by cheque. I contacted them again yesterday and their mail went into my spam, so I did not see it until after I called. There cheque dispatch time is 28 days, which I think is very poor. After a heated exchange, they have agreed to pay me by bacs tomorrow.
On the subject of a complaint to the Ombudsman. I am also going to complain and would encourage others to do so, as we are more likely to get somewhere, if we complain on mass. What does everone else think.
Cheers,
Paul

I was going to say, they paid me by bacs, took about 3 days.
Don't be fooled into letting them send a cheque will never arrive.

All good evidence confirming that they are only out for themselves, so it seems. I wonder how many simply operators, not on this forum there are. Will simply contact them and tell them they are not covered off site?
