How to get rust off chrome towers

I have a load of machines which were left outside for a year due to lack of storage space and have only just got around to sorting them out, only pronlem is there are thousands of green specs of rust all over the machines.

Just wondered if there was a magic product which will get them looking like new?

A gues but what about crome cleaner, its non abrasive unlike some other products?

reckon that sticky stuff spray from halfords would remove it

One thought might be to completely cover the original poor quality thin chrome with chrome vinyl wrap from your local sign livery company .It is possible to have items rechromed try the local motorbike shop they usually have a contact for smaller items .
