HI all, right since all this started over wether or not simply covered you off site i decided to do some research. Basically i asked simply the question `does my policy cover me off site?` The response wasnt recieved on here the forum, so like everyone else i wrote to them to cancel and demand my premiums returned.
I recieved a letter saying because i done it on line that basically it was my fault and i should of double checked, so again i asked the question `does my policy cover me off site?`
The response via email was `no your not go check your t&c`s.
Something wasnt sitting right with me, online or not how can a policy of public liability not cover you for public liability? on site or not?
So guess what i did, i went through the terms and conditions and guess what there is no condition stating we are not covered off site! And it stirred a few feathers because i have now had an apology off simply who called the underwriters in and confirmed yes your right there is no condition stating you are not covered off site and so therefore you are covered.
I have now recieved a requested letter stating all the above, and my cover continues.
worth noting that the only thing not covered is if a member of the public tries to steal from the machine and hurts themselves, and i think you will find no policy will as it is classed as `theft` if it is a minor then it is also `negligence` from the parent.
cheers
Ade

Simply unbelievable! They dont know there **** from their elbow it seems. Clearly, this either all come about because their advisers are not fully trained, or they have quickly learned that they are losing significant business and have had the underwriters agree to off site cover. Personally, from the conversations I had with them, I would not go back.

Re: GUESS WHAT YOUR SIMPLY BUSINESS POLICY DOES COVER YOU OF
My policy with simply business runs out tomorrow.
I have been in touch with them yesterday and they told me they could not cover me 24/7 on my machines.
After phoning Ceta they said it was possible but premium was £90 more.
Not sure what to do tomorrow morning now.
I have been with Simply business for 5 years and had no problems( saying that never had to claim).

Could you please post their letter on here, or pm it to me, as I would like to see their reply, before I proceed.
Throughout today, I have been getting more and more angry at this development. Initially, Simply said I wasnt covered when off site. They then went on to confirm that on here, making may others swap insurers. Now they confirm we were covered all along. Well Mr Simply Business. You will be getting another complaint from me in the next few days, as it now seems that I have had to buy more expensive cover, when it may not have been required, due entirely to your companies lack of knowledge of the insurance cover you sell. I will therefore be expecting Simply Business to pay me the difference between the premium I have had to pay CETA and my renewal quote from them.
Thanks,
Paul

Hi Paul,
the letter is specifically for my personal attention so be useless to anyone else, main point is it says `your policy is designed to legally protect you from ANY incident that may occur resulting in third party bodily injury` and the only time they would not pick up the risk is for unattended machines where a third party intentionally tries to damage or steal from the machine and is injured in the process.
cannotunderstand why mike is being told he is not covered?

Hi Ade,
How can they still be telling two tales. Mike, I would be very careful.
As Simply Business are now on here, perhaps their rep can clarify the situation, so everyone is aware of what is coverd. Either they have got it wrong from the outset and we have been covered all along. If this is the case, Simply need to put matters right, or confirm you are not covered and you need to seek cover elsewhere . Simples. Come on Simply Business- make your mind up!

Thanks Ade
Spoke to Andy Hayes yesterday and he confirmed I am covered 24/7.
Decided to renew with Simply as there price was £96 compared to Ceta £193.
Also Simply cover me for loss/damage to stock from my property or van for up to £2500.
Ceta could not offer this at all.
So happy to stay with Simply as they saved me over £100.
Thanks again Ade
