Ok thanks guys. Do you think Disney etc would be happy promoting another product on their capsules though?

Suppose i need to pluck up the courage to speak to these people and move forward with this idea!

Is their enough margin to spare on capsules then because the volumes in the machines are higher?

I still think it maybe a goer on towers if i could reduce the price of the sticker. Also depends how much the gameworlds will cost to run.

As said before I think margins are too tight on towers, toys there is room though.

I sell 30,000 90 mm capsules through my vendors per year, I'd give it a try, but £2,100 less profit per year needs a lot of justification from your end to demonstrate what benefits I would derive from this scheme. Phil from Flanders has floated this idea before.

Hi Pete. £2100 less profit a year would only happen if you didn't make any extra sales. You would need to sell an extra 12%(i think!) to get the same profit. Basically your Just increasing your break even point.

Thanks for the info, 30k is a lot! How many machines is that and across how many sites?

Thanks, Lee.

Ok thanks. How many operators do you think have around 100 capsule machines or should i say, how many capsule machines do you think are operating in the UK on any given day?

I have had a brainstorming session over the weekend and i have stumbled upon something that may reduce your operating costs!

It works better with the towers but it would work to some degree with the capsules.

For example in a tower you have 81 tubs? 9 columns, 9 selections?
If each tub had it's own code and you as an operator knew what order those codes were in (and which column) then you would be able to do a rough stock check from home.

Say column A has 9 tubs of sweets. The codes are 001-009. You sell 3 tubs of sweets and you are non the wiser. However the 4th tub of sweets has the code activated by the customer (code 004). You would know by default that you have sold 4 tubs from that column.

So it's a real time stock check as and when customers activate the codes. It wouldn't be perfect because you are relying on code activations but it would certainly be better than nothing.

One more thing. Rather than paying for every sticker/code, would you say it's more worthwhile if you were just charged for the stickers that are activated? Would be fairer for the operator as you wouldn't pay for the un-activated codes.
