John Barras chain

Post by popp665 »

Had a machine in a local pub near me for 5 + years it has recently become a John Barras and the landlord whom I know very well and wants to keep me says he might not be able to and is having a meeting with the "leisure manager" next week, what's the chances of me staying in??

Gutted as it was my 2nd best site

None, I thing, as they have a contract with Fun House Leisure and Hurleys supply the pots to them.

I had 3 john barras sites all happy with machine and service and area manager kicked me out of them all saying thier policy is no sweet machines , so sorry chances not too good , but then again you probably have a different area manager so fingers crossed eh .
Ive also just been kicked out of one of my best sites , a Marstons pub ,by area manager again as he just happened to be in the pub as i was servicing the machine he said they only deal with DH Leisure , and i pointed out to him the fact that the crane and sweet machine belonging to them were both out of order as usual , will they ever learn !!
Cheers

Its very annoying as this pub is on my doorstep and I can provide better service and more commission!

Funhouse leisure will not be able to keep up with refilling this, so hopefull as the land lord gets on with me very well I will get a chance to get back in..........

The problem is most of the people at these large companies are really really stupid! They don't like small business men, they like people like them, people that talk 'business speak', people that have no experience of the industry they're in, as long as they can pat each other on the back and tell each other how clever they are, they love it!
The sort of people that make descisions on suppliers aren't looking for quality or service, they give the contracts to the biggest shysters, people that can egotistically w**k them off and make them feel more superior! Size of 'contact consolidation' is all their bothered about (its always a size thing with these people!)

You would have thought that when you buy a Tower franchise from a national company (not naming names), they would negotiate national contracts on behalf of its franchisees? I think they are more intersted in making sure the big firms use their stock than helping the smaller operators :nono:

The problem is that the people in the large chains who make the decision want an easy life. The less people they have to deal with the easier it is for them. One company covering their whole patch = easy life!

You will defo lose site as I have lost 6 in last year with another one due in next few months.

As people have said its annoying as fun house just leave machines empty for weeks.
My local got changed end if last year and two machines are always empty.
Oh we'll they seem to love the trolley coins.
My mates love the free sweets.
