Full size machines advise

Post by popp665 »

I have the opportunity to put a full size snack and can machine at a work place, its a friend of mine and the company employ approx 75 people at the site. There would be no commission I just keep any profit.

I know at the moment x 2 machines (can & snack) are only doing about £70 a month so im wondering if its worth it.

Can anyone reccomend a good machine that will do both cans and snacks?

70 a month = about 25-30 quid profit. Decent machine between 6-800 plus coin mech and updates. I really think you will struggle to make a profit due to the short dates on crisps and stock rotation needed . £50 per week per machine is minimum we work on, and that is tight if you get a compressor go!!

Visits to wholesalers, breakdowns at weekends etc etc. Myself personally I would see if you can sell the site to someone and stick the money on the horses.

A Seaga HF3500, there are two on ebay currently.

I have one at a small site and its fine.

I think the below is dear but he may do a deal as selling 2? They also split and I was able to fit in the back of a Vauxhall Zafira which saved bme hiring a van.

The big issue as Matt points out though is stock not selling before sell by date

at the moment they have 2 machines however the firm doesnt offer good variety of stock and have a bad rep for letting stuff go out of date so I think there is room for improvement sales wise. May have a look at these Seags are they reliable?

To be fair the existing vending company may not put much range of stock in as it does not sell hence going out of date. Your OK with cans as they last 6/12 months and most choc is minimum 6 months.

Be careful, its not in any vending companies interest to have a machine sitting idle so I would smell a bit of a rat and suspect that the amount of sales do not justify it?

As for the Seagas I have had one for 18 months, the fan went on the fridge and I have replaced 2 drinks spiral motors thats it. The only downside is larger bags can get stuck and obviously no Surevend

Steve , put product pushers on and adjust spirals . Will. Sort out bag stuck problem.

And regarding the snack machine. As steve says , if stuffs going out of date it's not worth it.

I have mate, there is just not much room between end of spiral and glass so larger bags get stuck!
