Yes, very common. Cut the lock off with a hacksaw and replace

I've had all 24 locks go on brand new machines I bought from rock vend, they fobbed me off saying they will email the manufacturer. ...never heard from them again.

Where is good for new locks at a good price?

Perhaps the locks on the back of the 2nd-hand machines I bought from Hurleys aren't the same as the 'Clenport' ones you describe, because in general I find my Hurleys cash drawer locks to be more robust than the Chinese ones on the back of tubz vending machines.

You're not over-tightening them are you? I was told to NEVER take them to the maximum: stop as soon as there's any resistance and go backwards to the last time the key was removable (if that makes any sense).

I only ever have problems with the tubz vending machines (snapped a key in one the other day), my Clenports are always fine, and I have some black machines with plastic cash doors (yeah dangerous i know) that never jam!
