Went site finding yesterday for the first time, and I had just got these two publicans to take a sweet tower when they asked if I could supply Pringles too.
They then preceded to tell me they had one that had been in a pub they had years ago, which they didn't have keys for, and I ended up buying it off them for £70 (stand included). Not only did I get a two machine site, I actually bought half the machinery for it there and then, and only needed to nip back to the warehouse for some trays of Pringles and a damp cloth...
Anyone beat that?
Anyone ever bought the machine in the site?

Haha, thats good. Ive got two machines I stock but that actually belong to the venues. One a sweet tower in a pub, the other a Pringles in a Rugby club.

I bought a tower and stand from a site - ex tubz vending machine, guy never came back for it and it was empty. The landlord had drilled the lock so I explained a replacement lock was £30 and gave him £20 for the tower!

landlord at one of my sites is a tight *******. loves his commissions and i've been in the site for years.
a month ago he told me i should put a machine in his other pub.
when i went there turned out he had his own machine and he said I should buy it off him. complete waste of time. luckily he's too lazy to get another machine and kick me out the original site.

The way it's going at the moment I would have bought it from him! How much did he want for it?part-time-operator wrote:landlord at one of my sites is a tight *******. loves his commissions and i've been in the site for years.

I know you probably have a load of spare machines at the moment so didn't really want to buy another one, but with sitefinding now £20 a site surely it would have been better to give him £50 and then sell one of your's on e-bay for £30 (or better still sell one to me for £30!) lol

Re: Anyone ever bought the machine in the site?
I paid (a site finder) a local car recovery business, which does ok (far from my best). Then they asked me if I'd 'sort out' the abandoned Snackacan tower at their other site. So I just took it out and put in one of my own. Similar happened at a local sawmill but in the end I took out my own tower too because no one was using it - I can see why the previous vendor 'forgot' it!
So two towers acquired for 'free' (less the money wasted on all those other crap sites the 'professional' site finders have found me) but since I currently have a lockup with 10+ empty towers and 5 I can't fix without sending back to supplier, I haven't really benefited from the free ones yet!

Got to site where an abandoned machine was in situ, agreed to give landlord the cash and take the machine away & put my own in. Landlord also gave me 20% commission for 'helping him out'!
