They currently generally require proof that the business has been unprofitable or has been unable to be let i.e. empty for more than a year. Lets see what the Budget says tomorrow!National Vending wrote:Apparently its hard to get a commercial premises turned into residential during recession as councils are unlikely to approve as it is closing down a business and reducing employment pospects.

Re: Punch Taverns
Anyone got any contracts with Punch Taverns. Ive got a meeting with one of their regional managers next week. Hes happy with my charity tower but I want to pitch for a commission deal on all his pubs. Just wanted to see if anyone has any experience of this with Punch?

Re: Punch Taverns
They are 'the same' just one side is a managed house and the other tennant house.
For Spirit business you need to tender and use EDI to process commission. About a three grand overhead just for software plus a person to administer, operators to reliably provide data and so forth. Night fookin mare. The Punch side is easier but you will need approval, much of thisbis being an approved supplier which both the key holder / tenant amd AM wish said service of.
I walked away from the Spirit tender. Now you know why...

If the area covers Leics/North Northants I would be more than happy to jump on board

Re: Punch Taverns
I haven't got any punch sites but it dosen't surprise me that the pub cos are selling off thier pubs as they have tons of debt.
My brother had a pub with enterprise he was paying 450 a week rent they then demanded £1250 a week rent so he left (just in the last few weeks). He lost a lot of money. They now have someone in paying £50 a week rent.

Re: Punch Taverns
I had read about half way through the posts before I noticed it was a 4 year old thread!!
Good to get in with a regional manager though, great to have someone plugging your business from the inside.
