Clenport have already upped their game, they now have a single piece drum unit and all purchases from July 15 will automatically receive a new coin carrier when the new pound coin is available.

It's a loan machine from tubz vending Barbara.
I only bought clenports up until recently, but starting to think
It's time to look at chinese machines after having a new clenports fail after 300 vends.

Re: new coin mech on Chinese towers
There is absolutely nothing wrong with the towers manufactured in China. When we manufactured we had ours made in China and there are many tens of thousands out there all working fine. tubz vending towers will be the same. I do sometimes wonder why people believe that the Clenports are better, they are the same just made in a different factory in a different part of the world. Anything that is mechanical has a propensity to fail if not used in the manner that it was designed. We operated many thousands of our own towers and had no issues ongoing, just the same issues as everyone else gets and that is primarily down to the user being brutal or not being sensitive to the needs of the tower or if the tower is not looked after with general regular maintenance.Central2vend wrote:It's a loan machine from tubz vending vending Barbara.

Clenports and Chinese Towers are generally very reliable and the fact that you had an issue with a Clenporte after 300 vends it could be down to the user and not the quality of the Clenport.

The dimples on the machine actually wore out.
The chrome actually come of in a large sheet with some plastic attached.
The machine had been greased from new and had only done 300 vends

Actually, that sounds bad.Central2vend wrote:The dimples on the machine actually wore out.

Dimples should last for ever - they do need to be greased resulting in no friction. Can't work out why they would have worn out.
Re the chroming - sounds like an issue with the chroming process.
Was the Clenporte brand new or reconditioned?

Re: new coin mech on Chinese towers
Brand new and the rest I bought at the same time seem to be fine.
Could have been a Friday afternoon machine.
I must say I'm impressed with these new Chinese machines.
The coin mech is the biz.

I am sure it was a Friday afternoon jobbie!
Good to hear that you are pleased with the Chinese ones. They are a good, reliable vendor.
