I don't have any in Wickes but lots of similar places. Doesn't sound like a great loss!

Re: wickes
Hi Andy and Central
Thanks for the heads up on Wickes. As you say, another one bites the dust! My gut feel is that the companies who have vending contracts with any corporate are on the war path to get their 'territory' back. Only this morning I have received an email from a site I acquired in a leisure centre for a customer asking for removal of the charity sweet machine as it contravenes their contract that they have with Mars!
Regarding Elliot Reeve, I have had an email from an operator saying that a customer tripped over one of the stands and is suing them which is why they are now asking for all to be removed from all branches. I doubt the customer will sue, but it just goes to show that they don't want the hassle even though you all have public liability insurance in place. We once had a member of staff who serviced a tower in a tyre dealer where it had been for years, she claimed to have slipped on their floor and wanted to sue them! That resulted in the whole chain closing the door and many vendors needed to be removed. The member of staff was a chancer as they had tried it on with us too! They were sacked!

Re: wickes
Lol, they said to me it was a trip hazard. I don't believe it personally, it is impossible to trip over a tower stand. If they had said it had fallen on someone that could be more believable. The area manager who we had always dealt with has gone, new broom sweeps clean I think.

Re: wickes
Bloody mothers, not heard from my 3 sites yet, the area manager was lovely that I dealt with, can't remember her name though. With site fees paid out will not have even covered expenses at this rate

Re: wickes
If you don't hear anything Steve then don't act. I think Andy is right, new broom wants to show how tough they are by getting rid of a free facility that their customers love using. From memory, we had one or two installed at their Northampton branch for years with no issues. These new managers should focus more on the business FIRST and not pick on something with the least resistance that has no affect on their business.
I think it was Louise that you dealt with Steve?
