Possible DIY fix for new poubd coin?

Post by Vendition Ltd »

Does anyone know the tools we might need to make the coin mechanism plates a little bigger to accept old and new pound coins?

I was looking at something like this http://www.cooksongold.com/Jewellery-To ... 0wodrPAJvQ

And just getting a part which will file out the coin carrier a little bigger?

Hi Ross
i tried the DIY approach a few months ago and couldn't get it to work satisfactory.
The engineer I am now using assures me that there is more too it than simply filing out the coin carrier?
He has done many mechs for me @£10 a time, and I am very happy with them.
I do, however, have the advantage of him being only a mile from me, so I dont have to post them.
Good luck with whichever avenue you choose!

Hi Steve
yes the Mech refurb is all part of the service although it may increase the cost slightly if bits are missing or damaged beyond repair!
