Hi Pablo,

I am totally new to vending and just wanted to thank you for taking the time to write this. Been hugely helpful!

I have just bought 11 towers second hand,a couple are sited and hopefully the rest will be before too long.

Am I right thinking you are Ayrshire based? I'm not a million miles away in South Lanarkshire.

I have two towers next to each other in the same pub. Both stocked exactly the same. The one on the left always outsells the one on the right, neither have labels!
Swap them round and see if you get the same results.

I have this with trade counters, I have a couple right on the counter that sell well, other in the 'coffee area' that hardly sell at all

LOL!

Had a tower in Glasgow, could not remember were we put it!

Got a call two weeks ago as number was on the back, asked if we could remove it! And it was empty, new owners so they did not want it.
It had been there for at least two years!
Brought tears to my eyes....... of laughter!

We now have a complete fleet of towers with no stickers, we intend to keep it that way, the glue used on some stickers is a nightmare to remove, and I have used solvents stronger than sticky stuff remover.
Our machines look better for it, customers can see what is in the tubz vending so no need for a reminder. Has it increased sales, yes in some sites consistently as the machines look so clean.

Do you have to strip the machines down to change the stickers?
Are the stickers placed on the top ring?

I have several hundred segments with stickers on them in my garage awaiting attention/sticker removal!

My towers now look like brand new, do not have stickers on them and to be fair, look better for it. What people do with machines is of course up to them alas, the problems encountered in removing these critters goes without saying and, the norm is for operators to keep slapping a sticker on top of a previous item because they have had to change said item for something else!
They are a nightmare.
Cheers

Ridiculous!
So I can imagine the scene!
On customers premises, remove 'top nut', and flaming nut falls down to bottom (go on tell me it has never happened), the resultant being on premises you have to completely dismantle said machine to retrieve nut and rebuild. Like some of my Customers would be happy with that!
I was okay with stickers until I quickly realised that it was all to easy to slap another sticker on top of a sticker, that was okay until they became unsightly, or defaced by kids etc.
I got my idea of a sticker free tower zone from Style two years ago and, I guess I have been removing said segments for that amount of time. Nah, bad idea and like I said towers look much better and cleaner without.
Cheers

Cant help but agree, how are you all with the big A4 size charity stickers plastered all over the towers, looks a complete mess to me, especially when they wrinkle, much better with the smaller credit card sized ones
