Machine prices

Am i getting stung at every turn.

It seems to me prices of used toy machines have rocketed?

What are people paying for Bouly/ Tomys etc.

Seems odd when tower prices have gone down.

On a slightly different topic, isnt it great when you go to put a machine in and the owner says can I have one on my other two sites!!!

Yeah I guess we've all saturated the market with towers and are now all after toy machines. I can't think of any other explanation. Give it 5 years and the price of Tomys will be superb

It already has Jay. 7/8 years ago I was paying £50-£60 for a used single Tomy, everyone was selling excellent mini boulys for £55.

It seems everything has doubled in price whilst tower prices have fallen by about 40%. And I have loads of spare towers!

Sorry mate, I meant the price will be superb as in low again in 5 years. You know, once we've all paid a fortune for them now and have saturated that market too in another 5 years time.

I'm with you completely, prices are high for toy machines and they seem harder to come by.

tubz vending are encouraging converting sweet towers to toy towers for slower toy sites. That would free up some of your existing toy machines for other potentiality better toy sites.

I've not done any yet but have seen a few and they look pretty good. No idea if they sell well or whether they are more trouble than they are worth to refill.

I'm currently working on something new that I'm planning to trial over the next few months. If it works out it could make your spare sweet towers very lucrative. Then again it could be a none starter. I'll be sure to keep you posted

what does the conversion involve for the sweet towers? I assume it isn't as simple as just filling it with 50mm capsules?

Ive looked at them, not keen. I think the magic about toys is that the kids dont know what they will get. The tower takes that away.

On a plus note, picked up two mini boulys today for £50 each.

Ref the tower conversion: I believe it's mainly a block screwed into the barrel thus changing its depth. In addition I think a cardboard insert down the height of each column is required to insure the capsules sit towards the front. Finally a plastic ridge is fitted to the end of the shoot to stop the capsules falling on the floor when they vend.

I haven't done one so can't confirm whether this is all necessary or how each aspect effects it's working.

Supply and demand, as Jay has said, many areas are saturated with Sweet Towers and expansion is toys for the established/new operators. I saw a sea change a couple of years back. For those considering expansion into toys, don't wait too long otherwise the opportunity will be gone. I have already experienced difficulty in a few areas to get placements for toys due to many sites already taken, thankfully that is not the case for all areas so get in quick guys!

Conversion kit is no more than a few pence for a screw and a piece of wood. If you do it this way, you can remove the piece if you want to convert it back to a tower to dispense pots.
No need to go to the supplier who charges over £20 for a conversion kit!!!!!
