Removing the labels !!

AUTOSMART TAR REMOVER
Not sure if any one has mentioned this before but I find that the range of Tar and Adhesive removers from Auto Smart are amazing. I discovered this after reluctantly paying £6.00 for a 325ml bottle of Auto Glym tar remover from my local motor factors to remove tar from my car bonnet, I decided to try it out on the DREADED LABELS ! This worked great so I spoke to my local Auto Smart Rep who i have used in the past for other cleaning products, He is really helpful and has a great knowledge of glues ! There are 2/3 Auto Smart products that work really well at removing the labels from the rings depending on the glue type used on the labels and all are much better than the Auto Glym products which i thought was amazing before discovering the range from Auto Smart !
I peeled off any label that i could then simply sprayed the Tar remover on to the labels left it for a minute then scraped off the label with a plastic scraper and simply wiped off any remaining adhesive, this process bought the rings up to look like new. I am likely to get a cloth buffer and mount this on the workbench and us this as a cloth as i have several hundred to work through during the quieter winter months !

I have several hundred to clean over the winter months as well. Might try what you have suggested if I can find an auto smart van. Otherwise, panel wash is good, you get it in 5ltr tins for about £25. Pour into a plastic cake tin, insert ring for about 5mins or more (not too long otherwisering might go white) and glues fall off when removed.
Cheers

By the way, not a newbie! Have posted about 600. Just a new account as I forgot password and got fed up asking for a reset.

Hi Pablo, If you go on to the Auto Smart website there is a phone number for you to call and they will give you the local rep's number.

Sounds like my brilliant tip on warming the rings up in the oven first to aid peeling, until I melted them LOL
