Ive always had a couple of sites that sell mainly skittles because they dont contain gelatine and are Halal. Ive lost a couple of sites over the years because my sweets arent Halal. But they have never been great sites so it never really bothered me.
Last year I picked up a really good chippy/chicken place that for 10 months was doing £70 a month then the owner told me he was getting complaints because he was a Halal chippy and could i take everything out with gelatine. Sales halved.
Liam at Hurleys has now supplied me 3 lines of Halal sweets.
Fizzy mix
Bubble gum bottles
Juicy Berries
Look great. Going to use them to help with some site finding. May open a few new doors.

Re: Halal sweets
I've got a few places where I think at least having a few halal lines would be a good idea so would like to hear how your sales go. Do the product stickers say they are halal?

Re: Halal sweets
No,the stickers dont say Halal. I guess they could if you wanted them to. I thought about it and decided not to go down that route as it would put as many people off as it attracted. I figured the sites where I need them I can tell them and the important people will know.

Re: Halal sweets
Best way around the halal issue in food retail outlets is to replace the sweet tower with a toy one. Towers with the new plastic one piece barrels can hold about 120 toy capsules. Convert those spare towers to toys!

Re: Halal sweets
Wouldnt help in either of the sites Ive talked about. Ones a chippy that I also have a toy machine in the other is a barbers where Im pretty sure its the Muslim staff that eat the sweets.
Anyway sales are good in both of these sites since Ive added the Halal stuff.
