With the ongoing price increases for fuel and stock are any operators looking to increase the vend prices on toy machines and sweet pot machines ?
We have been stuck on £1 vend for so long our profit margins are dwindling away.
I'm thinking of maybe contactless card readers or changing to £2 x £1.00 mechanisms.
Ongoing price increases V Vend price

Hi Matt, Nice to see you have done the research. I know clenport have the 108 machines with card readers for £350.00 I haven't looked at the monthly rental charges on these.

From what I understand Clenport don't actually use a card reader, but an app on the phone of the purchaser, which is from what I can see a bit complicated if you simply having a kid wanting some sweets. The app then sends a text to the machine and causes it to vend, I can see loads of problems with this idea.
I could be wrong, but that is how it looked a year or so ago when the prototype came out. Also had a power cord, I'm fairly certain there is enough space in the base through the coin box hole to insert a rechargeable battery like the cloakroom vending machines use.
